To get the point cost for any character start with their attack class and Defense class. Multiply the Attack Class by the Damage that you want the character to be able to inflict (which in the game is the number of six sided dice that he will role). Then determine his Defense Class and multiply this by the Hits that he will be able to take. Add these two numbers together, then add the morale point you want him to have and the movement speed that you want the character to go. This should give you a reasonable point cost for the figure. Remember to add cost of weapons or magic items as per the Death in the Dark rulebook. (Page 142)
Notes: There are racial modifiers on movement. For instance Vanir and their spiders, Elves and Reptilliads get 2 inches of movement for free. Dwarves have a maximum movement of 4”. Any character with more than five plus Damage must add 75pts to the cost of the model.
